The Federation of Aligarh Alumni Associations is an umbrella organization of Aligarh Alumni Associations.At present it has 12 member organizations spread across all over the North America.The federation is a non-profit, secular, non-partisan, and non-political organization serving Educational, Social, Literary and Cultural needs of the Community.
Role of the Federation
* Act as a facilitator and coordinator of activities and programs of mutual interest run by local chapters
* Develop consensus among local chapters
* Liaison between local chapters and the AMU
* Evaluate projects and advice local chapters
* Facilitate to implement selected projects
The annual Convention is an annual event of The Federation. This was 6th annual Convention held in Cleveland Ohio on 28th July 2007. It was attended by close to 250 AMU alumni from the North America. The participants were from all the way California,
Texas, Nevada, Georgia, Washington DC area,Maryland,Michigan, New York, New Jersey, Massachusetts,Rhod Iland and of course from Ohio.
Sindhu Ratan Ram Jethmalani was chief guest and keynote speaker. His speech received warm standing ovation from academics, scholars of Alumni of Aligrah University and comments "YOU HAVE SPOKEN OUR HEART"
